12. What is outsourcing of lubrication services?
What is the outsourcing of lubrication services? Generally speaking, tasks related to lubrication are
commissioned by an industrial plant to a specialised company. A well planned and implemented process of outsourcing such
operations to a specialised company is applied in order to reduce product or service manufacture costs of the
plant at the same time enhancing their quality by focussing on the core production process or its part as a main
function. External partners (Ecol) take care of all aspects of the outsourced processes, thus ensuring
high quality at each process stage.
Oil and lubrication outsourcing is applied in the industry since it can be flexibly adjusted to the needs
of each prospective customer.
It is based on the principle of oil and lubrication management of a plant by Ecol. These elements include in
particular the execution of a complete line of purchase, technical service and waste management
Oil and Lubricant Organisation and Management is Streamlined by:
- developing and implementing IT systems for lubrication and operating management,
- counselling and expertise in scope of Lubrication Tribology and Engineering,
- designing, producing and installing systems for treating oils in machinery and equipment,
- selecting oils and lubricants and lubrication supervision,
- monitoring oils and diagnosing oil systems (oil analyses),
- hydrodynamic cleaning and washing of oil systems in machinery and equipment,
- extensive replacement of oils in the industry,
- oil maintenance (filtering, water removal and degassing),
Benefits from Oil and Lubricant Outsourcing in the Plant:
- single lines of lubricating products used and selection of lubricating products fulfilling the quality-price
factor as good as possible,
- better knowledge of lubricating agents related to suitable expertise about product distribution,
- optimum use of operating personnel,
- partnership collaboration with Ecol specialised in oil and lubrication service,
- single policy and issues related to waste utilisation and management,
- constant, foreseeable costs in long run,
- considerable reduction of a plant's serving costs.
Each agreement is subject to specific arrangements with a Customer.
